The first time: PS3 beats competitors in Japan

After the launch of the cheaper PS3 version lead to more sold units in the USA, Sony was able to sell about 56000 devices in Japan last week. Maybe the new available color (ceramic white) has also something to do with it... With that numbers Sony tripled their sales and beat Nintendos Wii (34500) and Microsofts Xbox 360 (5800).
Well, I'm talking about the “next-gen” consoles... These numbers are pretty neat but lets compare them to the handheld sales: Nintendo DS – 78900 and Sony PSP – 59000! Nuff said...

This is a good news. As I am a PS user,I an happy to hear that. I have a PS2. I am going to buy PS3 soon.

aw...wii lost to ps3? cant believe it....wii is so great man....i really love it....but i am glad tat nds beat psp...haha

sony is fighting with all new kinds of problems these days...

but its true that the launch of PS 3 marked with huge sale which even sony might not have expected
